FAQ

Questions About Miami

Can the carrier pick up at my condo?

At the curb or a nearby lot, yes. Carriers are too tall for condo garages. Ask your building where a big truck can stop for a few minutes, and have the keys ready.

When is snowbird season in Miami?

Cars head south mostly from October through December and go back north from March through May. Those weeks book up, so get your quote early.

Should I ship my car enclosed to Miami?

For most cars, open transport is fine. For an exotic, a classic or a new luxury car, enclosed keeps it out of the rain and road grime. Ask us to quote both.

  1. Condos and valet

Carriers can’t fit into condo garages in Brickell, Miami Beach or Sunny Isles. Ask your building where a big truck can stop, and check the valet or front desk rules before the driver arrives.

  2. Miami Beach

Getting on and off the island means the causeways, and they jam on weekends and event nights. Weekday mornings are easiest, and the driver may meet you on the mainland side.

  3. Snowbird months

From October through December, cars pour into South Florida, and from March through May they head back north. Carrier space goes fast in those months, so book early.

  4. Registering in Miami-Dade

Within 10 days of becoming a Florida resident, register at a Miami-Dade tag office. Florida insurance comes first, and a car from out of state needs a VIN check.
