Colorado Questions
Can a carrier get my car over the mountains in winter?
Yes, with some patience. Colorado’s traction law runs on I-70 in the mountains from September through May, and storms can close Vail Pass or the Eisenhower Tunnel for hours. Carriers wait for the road to open, so a mountain pickup or delivery can slip a day. Pickups along I-25 in Denver and the Front Range are simpler.
I just moved to Colorado. What do I need to register my car?
Colorado gives new residents 90 days. An out-of-state car needs a VIN verification (form DR 2698), and most cars in the Denver metro and North Front Range need an emissions test too. Then register at your county motor vehicle office. Check the Colorado DMV for the details for your county.
Do you ship to mountain towns like Vail, Aspen and Breckenridge?
Yes. Carriers reach most resort towns on I-70 and the state highways. Steep driveways and narrow village streets usually mean meeting at a nearby lot. In winter, leave a little room in your dates.
Do you work with military families in Colorado Springs?
Yes. PCS moves in and out of Fort Carson, Peterson, Schriever and the Academy are common. Have your orders and report date handy, and ask about our military discount when you quote. Proof of service is required. See military car shipping.
What does it cost to ship a car to or from Colorado?
Distance, vehicle, open or enclosed, and season. Winter mountain routes and busy summer weeks can cost more. Get an exact quote or call (424) 453-1800.

Colorado Cities We Ship To
City-by-city shipping notes
Most Colorado shipments start or end on the Front Range, between Fort Collins and Pueblo. Notes on each city:
Denver
Where I-25 and I-70 meet. Downtown towers and LoDo lofts rarely have room for a carrier, so we meet at a nearby lot or a wide street.
Colorado Springs
Fort Carson, Peterson and Schriever Space Force Bases and the Air Force Academy. PCS season is busy.
Aurora
East of Denver, home to Buckley Space Force Base and close to Denver International Airport.
Fort Collins
Colorado State University, on I-25 near the Wyoming line. August move-in is the busy week.
Lakewood
West metro at the foothills, off US-6 and C-470. Some hillside streets are steep for a full carrier.
Thornton
North metro on I-25 and E-470, mostly newer subdivisions.
Arvada
Northwest metro. Olde Town’s narrow streets usually mean a nearby meeting spot.
Greeley
Northeast on US-34 and US-85, home to the University of Northern Colorado.
Westminster
Between Denver and Boulder on US-36, an easy stop for carriers on the north side.
Pueblo
South on I-25, about 110 miles from Denver. A good meeting point for southern Colorado.

Mag Chloride and Your Paint
Colorado treats its winter roads with magnesium chloride, which keeps ice down but is hard on paint, wheels and undercarriages. On an open carrier, a car picks up some of that spray between November and April. For a classic, a new car or anything you just had detailed, enclosed transport keeps it off the road spray entirely.
Denver Pickups
A full car carrier is about 75 feet long. Downtown Denver, Capitol Hill and older neighborhoods with tight streets and low trees usually mean meeting at a nearby wide street or parking lot. Newer suburbs like Thornton and Aurora are easier, though some HOAs restrict big trucks. Tell us about your street when you book and we’ll plan the meeting spot.
