FAQ

Oklahoma Questions

What happens if there are tornado warnings on my shipping day?

Carriers pull over and wait it out, and the pickup or delivery moves a few hours or a day. Oklahoma’s storm season peaks in May, so keep your dates a little loose in spring.

I have orders to Fort Sill or Tinker. Can you ship my car?

Yes. Fort Sill is on I-44 at Lawton and Tinker is on I-40 in Oklahoma City, both easy for carriers to reach. Have your orders and report date handy, and ask about our military discount; proof of service is required.

I just moved to Oklahoma. How do I register my car?

Through Service Oklahoma or a licensed tag agency. Bring your title, proof of Oklahoma insurance and your ID, and check Service Oklahoma for the deadline that applies to you.

Do you ship cars for students at OU and Oklahoma State?

Yes. Book August move-in early in Norman and Stillwater, and plan on meeting the carrier at a lot near campus. Ask about our student discount; proof of enrollment is required.

What does it cost to ship a car to or from Oklahoma?

Distance, the vehicle, open or enclosed, and the season. Oklahoma City to Dallas is a short run; Tulsa to Orlando is a long one. Get an exact quote or call (424) 453-1800.

Oklahoma City and Tulsa

Oklahoma City sits where I-35, I-40 and I-44 meet, and Tulsa is about 100 miles up the Turner Turnpike, so carriers pass through both all the time. Most suburbs, from Edmond and Moore to Broken Arrow and Owasso, have room for a carrier, though some HOAs restrict big trucks. Older streets in Midtown and near downtown Tulsa are tighter, and we may meet at a lot nearby.

Storm Season

From March through June, and especially in May, Oklahoma gets severe storms and tornado warnings. Carriers don’t drive through a warning, so a pickup or delivery can slip a few hours or a day. Hail is the bigger worry for your car: if you’re shipping something special in spring, ask about enclosed transport.
