Utah Questions
I’m shipping to Moab or southern Utah. Is that harder?
A little. Moab is about 30 miles off I-70, and the stretch of I-70 between Green River and Salina runs about 106 miles with no services. Carriers plan these runs ahead, so give us extra notice, and expect to meet on a main road in town.
Will my car need an emissions test in Utah?
It depends on your county. Salt Lake, Davis, Utah, Weber and Cache counties test many vehicles, depending on the model year. Elsewhere in the state, a test usually isn’t needed. Check the Utah DMV for your address and the deadline to register.
I have orders to Hill Air Force Base. Can you help?
Yes. Hill sits along I-15 north of Salt Lake, so carriers reach it without trouble. Bases often restrict commercial trucks, so we usually meet near a gate. Have your orders and report date handy, and ask about our military discount; proof of service is required.
Can you deliver to Park City or a ski cabin in winter?
Yes, with a plan. I-80 over Parleys Summit stays open most of the time, but storms bring chain rules, and many cabin drives are too steep or narrow for a loaded carrier. From December to March, we usually meet at a lot in town and keep your dates flexible.
What does it cost to ship a car to or from Utah?
Distance, the vehicle, open or enclosed, and the season. Pickups along I-15 on the Wasatch Front are the simplest. Get an exact quote or call (424) 453-1800.
Utah, North to South
City-by-city shipping notes
Most pickups are on the Wasatch Front. Farther out, from Logan to Moab, plan a little more. Notes on each city:
Salt Lake City
The capital, where I-15 meets I-80. Downtown streets are famously wide, but the hillside Avenues are steep and tight.
West Valley City
Utah’s second-largest city, just west of Salt Lake on I-215 and SR-201.
Sandy and Draper
The south end of the Salt Lake Valley on I-15, near the canyon roads to the ski resorts.
Lehi
The heart of Silicon Slopes, on I-15 at the Point of the Mountain. Newer neighborhoods often have HOA truck rules.
Provo and Orem
BYU and Utah Valley University, on I-15 about 45 miles south of Salt Lake.
Ogden and Layton
Hill Air Force Base sits between them on I-15, north of Salt Lake. Weber State is in Ogden.
Logan
Utah State University, in Cache Valley on US-91, about 80 miles north of Salt Lake.
Park City
Ski town on I-80 over Parleys Summit. Winter storms and steep drives often mean a meeting spot in town.
St. George
Southwest Utah on I-15, with mild winters that draw retirees and snowbirds.
Moab
Arches and Canyonlands, on US-191 about 30 miles south of I-70.

The Wasatch Front
Roughly three in four Utahns live along I-15 between Ogden and Provo, with the mountains on one side and the Great Salt Lake on the other. That keeps most pickups simple. Newer neighborhoods in Lehi, Herriman and Eagle Mountain often have HOA rules about big trucks, and the older streets near downtown Salt Lake and in the Avenues are tight, so we may meet at a lot nearby. Tell us your street when you book.
Southern Utah
St. George sits on I-15 near the Arizona line, and its warm winters draw retirees and snowbirds. It’s one of the easier places in the state for carriers to reach. The national park towns are another story: Moab, Springdale and Torrey are well off the interstate, so give us extra notice and plan to meet on a main road. See snowbird car shipping.
