  1. The Oceanfront in season

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Atlantic and Pacific Avenues crawl with beach traffic. Near the resort area, a weekday morning pickup is easiest, or meet the driver on a road farther inland.

  2. Sandbridge and Pungo

Sandbridge sits at the end of a long two-lane road, and Pungo is farm country with narrow roads and ditches. The driver may set a meeting spot on Princess Anne Road or another main road.

  3. Navy moves

Carrier drivers can’t get onto Oceana or Little Creek without a pass, so pickups and deliveries happen off base. Sailors, veterans and retirees can ask about our military discount.

FAQ

Questions About Virginia Beach

Will the driver come onto base at Oceana or Little Creek?

Not usually. Carrier drivers seldom have a base pass, so the hand-off happens just off base. Tell us which gate you use and your report date, and we’ll plan from there.

How far is Virginia Beach from Florida by road?

About 640 miles to Jacksonville and 770 to Orlando, mostly on I-95. Both are on the route board above.

Can you pick up in Sandbridge?

Yes. If the beach road or your street is too tight for a long carrier, the driver will call and set a meeting point close by where the truck can turn around.
