Auto transport comes in more forms than most people expect. You choose how the car travels and how soon it picks up, and the vehicle itself can change what’s needed. Here’s every option in plain English, with a link to the details for each. You can also see them all on our services page.
How the Car Travels
- Open transport. The standard way, and the lower price. Your car rides on an open carrier, out in the weather the way it would be on the road. Open auto transport.
- Enclosed transport. Covered from pickup to delivery, for exotics, classics and fresh paint. There are fewer enclosed trucks, so plan ahead. Enclosed auto transport.
Where It Picks Up and Drops Off
Door to door is how we ship: pickup and delivery at your addresses, or as close as a big truck can safely get. If your street is too tight, you meet the driver nearby. Door-to-door transport.
How Soon It Picks Up
- Standard. A pickup window that fits a carrier already running your route. The lower price, and the right fit for most people.
- Expedited. A priority pickup for tight timelines, at a higher price. Expedited car shipping.
- Same-day pickup. Sometimes possible, when a carrier near you has room. No one can guarantee it, but we’ll tell you honestly how likely it is. Same-day auto transport.
How Far It Goes
Across the state, to the next one over or coast to coast. For the longest runs, see shipping a car across the country.
