Old-School Service, Modern Tools: How We Treat Customers

Car shipping has a reputation problem, and most of it comes down to service: prices that change after booking, phones that go to voicemail, dates nobody keeps. We try to run Shelby Auto Transport the old-fashioned way, and use modern tools only where they actually help. Here’s what that means in practice.

The Old-School Part

A real person answers

Call (424) 453-1800 and you talk to someone who can quote your car, answer a question or tell you where things stand. No phone tree, and no chatbot pretending to be a person.

A price you can hold us to

The price we quote is the price you pay. It’s good for 30 days, as long as your vehicle, route and dates stay the same, and it’s agreed in writing before pickup. We quote a price a carrier will actually take, so your car doesn’t sit waiting for a higher number.

Straight answers about timing

If your date is tight, we tell you up front. A realistic window you can plan around beats a promise that falls apart the week of your move.

The Modern Part

• Quotes from your phone. The quote form takes a couple of minutes on a phone.
• Call, text or email. Tell us how you’d like to hear from us, and that’s how we follow up.
• Public records, checked. Every carrier’s federal record is online. We look before we assign a carrier, and you can look too. Our own numbers are USDOT 3813762 and MC 1377368.

What “White Glove” Should Mean

Every company uses the phrase. Here’s what we think it should mean, in plain terms:

• You know the price, in writing, before the car moves.
• You know roughly when the truck is coming, and you hear about it if that changes.
• The car is inspected with you at both ends, and every mark goes on the report.
• If something goes wrong, you have someone to call who picks up.

What We Don’t Do

We don’t own trucks or pretend to; we arrange your shipment with vetted, licensed carriers. We don’t quote low to win the booking and raise the price later. And we don’t promise an exact delivery hour for a trip that crosses the country.
