Same-Day Car Transport

Your car needs to move today, or tomorrow at the latest. Here’s the order to do things in, what decides whether a same-day pickup can happen, and what to try if it can’t.

If Not TodayTake the earliest confirmed pickup, or meet nearer the highway.

The Next Hour, Step by Step

  1. Call (424) 453-1800. Have the pickup and delivery ZIP codes, the year, make and model, whether it runs, and open or enclosed. For today, a call beats a form.
  2. Get the car ready while we look. Keys (both sets if you have them), about a quarter tank, personal items and toll tags out, and dated photos of every side.
  3. Decide who meets the driver. If you’re leaving before pickup, give the keys to someone you trust and send us their number. Do the same for delivery.
  4. Pick a spot a big truck can reach. A wide street, or a big parking lot near the highway, makes a fast pickup more likely.
  5. Get the price and the pickup time in writing before you agree to anything.

Why Location Matters Most

A same-day pickup needs a carrier that is close to you today, has an open spot, and is headed your way. Near a main interstate in a big metro, there are more carriers passing through, so the odds are better. In a small town far from the highway, the same request can take a day or two. Meeting the driver closer to the interstate is the single biggest thing you can do to help.

If Today Isn’t Possible

  • Take the earliest confirmed pickup, even if it’s tomorrow. A confirmed tomorrow beats an unconfirmed today.
  • Leave the keys with someone who can meet the driver after you’ve gone.
  • Move the car somewhere easier. A friend’s driveway near the highway, or a paid storage lot, can open up more carriers, and the driver picks it up from there.
  • Short route? Ask whether a same-day delivery is possible, not just a same-day pickup.

Questions to Ask Anyone Promising Same-Day

  • Has a carrier actually confirmed, or is this a hope?
  • Is the price final, or can it change once a carrier is assigned? (Here’s how the bait and switch works.)
  • What happens if the carrier doesn’t show up?
  • What are your USDOT and MC numbers? Look them up on the FMCSA website. Ours are USDOT 3813762 and MC 1377368.

How We Handle It

We tell you quickly what’s possible on your route. If we can confirm a same-day pickup, you’ll know. If we can’t, you’ll get the earliest pickup we can confirm, at the price we quoted. More about the service itself on same-day auto transport.

FAQ

Short-Notice Questions

What should I have ready when I call?

Both ZIP codes, the year, make and model, whether it runs, open or enclosed, and who will meet the driver at each end.

Can the car be picked up after I’ve left town?

Yes, if someone you trust has the keys and can check the car with the driver and sign the inspection report.

Can a carrier pick up on a weekend?

Sometimes. It depends on which carriers are working your area that day. Call and we’ll check.

Will a same-day pickup cost more?

Usually, yes. A carrier that changes its plans to reach you today is paid for it. A pickup a day or two out often costs less.
